Job description

Piper Companies is seeking a Cloud Application Architect to join a Financial Services company located in Durham, NC. The Cloud Application Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Data Lake.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Application Architect

1. Develop, design, implement, and manage applications in AWS.
2. Manage canary releases and blue-green deployments.
3. Collaborate with product owners to define service level objectives and manage the health and performance of cloud systems by implementing observability and responsiveness.
4. Ensure all data and infrastructure deployments comply with enterprise security, access controls, best practices, and standards.
5. Work with partners and internal teams to design scalable and secure cloud architectures based on best practices and business requirements.
6. Implement security measures and ensure compliance.

Qualifications of the Cloud Application Architect

1. 8+ years of experience in Application Architecture.
2. Preferably hands-on experience with AWS Application Architecture.
3. Hands-on development experience with Python and JavaScript.

Compensation for the Cloud Application Architect

1. Salary Range: $150,000.
