Job summary

Delta Air Lines seeks a Portfolio Architect to own technical direction across our enterprise software portfolio, designing cloud-native, AI-enabled solutions and setting technical standards. You will shape architecture, guide engineers, and ensure secure, scalable delivery aligned with business goals.

You will lead AWS-oriented designs, provide technical leadership, and drive DevOps practices across teams, balancing speed with reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a Software Architecture or senior Software Engineering role at enterprise scale, with strong AWS focus.
• Experience designing enterprise software solutions, integrations, security and platform engineering.
• Proven ability to mentor staff Software Engineers with best practices and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architectural design: create and maintain blueprints for software solutions aligned to goals.
• Cloud integration: design AWS-based solutions with services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda.
• Engineering excellence: lead high-quality software development practices across projects.
• Technical leadership: mentor teams and promote innovation and excellence.
• Collaboration: work with product managers, developers, and operations for seamless delivery.
• Performance optimization: address bottlenecks for scalable applications.
• Security: implement encryption, access controls, and security standards.
• Documentation: produce comprehensive architectural and development docs.
• AI architecture: define AI/ML patterns, GenAI evals, and integration approaches.
