Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to own the full lifecycle of accelerator server platforms, from NPI to fleet operation, within a high-growth AI/ML data center context. You will collaborate across ODMs, firmware, mechanical, power, and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable, reliable servers in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hardware design, development and validation experience for server or compute platforms.
• Experience in server technologies: thermal/mechanical design, power delivery, high-speed signal integrity, or accelerator subsystems.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and validation test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end NPI lifecycle for accelerator server platforms — from architecture definition through design, qualification, ramp, and launch.
• Lead technical solutions for complex server and rack system architectural challenges.
• Collaborate with ODM/manufacturing partners to develop, validate, and manufacture server products at scale.
• Develop functional specs, verification plans, and test procedures.
• Drive qualification and readiness milestones, ensuring platforms meet targets before fleet deployment.
• Identify and resolve technical risks early in the development cycle.
