Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Cloud AI Data Engineer II for Professional Services to help clients harness big data on Google Cloud Platform. You will act as a trusted advisor, lead data engineering efforts, and design scalable data solutions for complex on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include delivering best-practice guidance, collaborating with engineering and sales teams, traveling up to 30% for onsite delivery, and communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience with data processing software (e.g., Spark, Beam) and algorithms.
• Experience managing client-facing projects and coordinating with Engineering and Sales Services teams.
• Experience with database administration techniques or data engineering and writing Java, Python, or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Big Data challenges.
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations.
• Analyze on-premises and cloud database environments and consult on the design for performance and deployment on Google Cloud Platform.
• Travel regularly up to 30% of the time for in-region meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
• Communicate effectively via video conferencing for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
