Job summary

Google LLC in the United States seeks an Agentic Data Cloud Customer Engineer to lead technical pre-sales with customers, mapping complex data estates for migration to Google Cloud. You will design, code, and deploy end-to-end Data and AI pipelines, whiteboard modern lakehouse architectures, and run demonstrations to show business value.

The role requires deep expertise in Python, PySpark, and distributed systems, with a focus on cost optimization, governance, and enterprise data strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience as a data or systems engineer, solutions architect, or pre-sales consultant.
• Experience delivering demos, workshops, or architect overviews to business leaders.
• Experience migrating, refactoring, or debugging proprietary or open source workloads.
• Experience building data platforms, warehouses, or data lakes.
• Experience with data programming languages and leveraging agentic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for large accounts, engaging C-level executives via live demonstrations to solve business problems using the Agentic Data Cloud.
• Design, code, and deploy production-grade Data and AI pipelines and map legacy data estates to open-format architectures (Iceberg).
• Orchestrate data engineering to deploy PySpark/dbt pipelines using the Data Agent Kit and related tools.
• Lead showcases and value validations using BigQuery, Spark, and Vertex AI to prove business outcomes.
• Conduct detailed Total Cost of Ownership analyses and optimize architectures to prevent runaway costs.
