Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to optimize, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems on client sites. You will deploy, debug, and operate cloud platforms while collaborating with Agile teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of related experience, strong scripting skills, and proficiency with AWS, Docker, and Ansible. U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance is required.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to optimize, implement, and maintain our organization’s cloud-based systems. Responsibilities include deploying and debugging systems, as well as executing new cloud initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPEREINCE:

• Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
• Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of code.
• Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS,CloudFormation, etc.), Docker,Ansible. Documented experience with open‑source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team.
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs.
• Strong understanding of web services, API, REST.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Familiar with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection process

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

The likely salary range for this position is $140,821 - $190,523. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
