About You

You're a curious systems professional who wants to build broad technical capability rather than stay in a single infrastructure silo. You enjoy learning how Linux, Windows, databases, and AWS systems connect, and you're comfortable following established processes while building the judgment to handle more independently over time. You're coachable, detail-oriented, and willing to ask questions when you need context. You take pride in reliable execution, clear documentation, and being someone your team can count on when systems need attention.

You:

  • Enjoy working across different platforms and infrastructure environments.
  • Are curious about how systems connect and how changes in one area can affect another.
  • Follow established procedures carefully while looking for opportunities to deepen your understanding.
  • Communicate clearly during operational work and incidents.
  • Take feedback well and actively apply coaching to improve your technical skills.
  • Are motivated by continuous growth and want to take on broader responsibility as your skills develop.
Your Impact

As a Cloud Administrator, you'll help keep AWS-hosted systems current, available, and well maintained while developing hands-on capability across Linux, Windows, databases, and cloud infrastructure. You'll work closely with Cloud Engineers, handling routine operations and first-line troubleshooting while building the systems-level judgment needed to take on increasingly complex work. This role is designed to broaden your technical perspective and give you meaningful exposure to multiple parts of the infrastructure environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute patching and maintenance across Linux, Windows, database, and AWS environments according to documented processes and schedules.
  • Follow change management, validation, and documentation practices so maintenance work is completed accurately and remains traceable.
  • Triage platform issues across Linux, Windows, databases, and AWS, resolving issues within your current capability and escalating specialist-level problems appropriately.
  • Support cross-platform operational work under Cloud Engineer guidance, building practical experience across multiple platforms and providing dependable backup coverage.
  • Use platform runbooks and monitoring tools to identify issues, document findings, and recognize patterns that may signal emerging problems.
  • Participate in platform reviews and incidents, developing a broader understanding of how infrastructure components depend on one another.
  • Contribute to a growing knowledge base of resolved issues, operational findings, and cross-platform practices that make the team stronger over time.

Your work will help the Infrastructure Operations team maintain reliable infrastructure while building the technical breadth and judgment needed to support a broader range of systems.

Requirements
  • Experience working with or supporting AWS environments.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, with an interest in developing capability across both.
  • Foundational knowledge of databases and systems administration concepts.
  • Experience or exposure to patching, maintenance, vulnerability management, or related infrastructure operations.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, runbooks, and change management processes accurately.
  • Troubleshooting and incident-response skills, including the judgment to know when to resolve an issue independently and when to elevate.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, particularly when recording changes, troubleshooting steps, and operational findings.
  • Ability to work well with technical teammates, receive coaching, and apply feedback.
  • Curiosity and willingness to continue building technical knowledge across multiple infrastructure platforms.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure as code is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AWS Systems Manager, AWS EC2, AWS RDS, AWS CloudWatch, Jira Service Management, Confluence, SyncroMSP, or vulnerability management platforms is a plus.

K2United offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and professional growth, including:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Retirement savings opportunities
  • Professional development and learning opportunities
