Scheels All Sports, Inc. in Minot, ND is seeking a retail associate to help manage merchandise and deliver a top-notch customer experience.

You will tag, price, fold, and stock items for the sales floor or back stock, coordinate with Merchandising Teams, and maintain clean, organized displays while handling shipments with care. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming merchandise with efficiency to ensure correct counts.
  • Tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise for the sales floor or back stock.
  • Assist Merchandising Teams in distributing items to the correct Specialty Shop.
  • Organize clothing hangers and size labels.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and dispose of them in the trash compactor.
  • Operate a pallet jack to move shipments between platforms, storage, and work areas.
  • Maintain accuracy and organization in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving on the floor.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming merchandise with efficiency to ensure correct counts

  • Assist the Merchandising Teams in distributing items to correct the Specialty Shop

  • Perform work efficiently and effectively with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate a computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere by treating others with respect and consideration, while taking pride in being part of a winning team
  • Maintain an orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, leading to a safe work environment
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership
Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work –

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
