Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an engineer to join the Closures Engineering Design team, focusing on mechanism and mechatronic closures for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia NA vehicles.

You will contribute to design, development, and release activities, leveraging CATIA V5 and 3D CAD tools, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation. The role offers work in a dynamic automotive environment, opportunities for growth, and a travel component up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 0–7 years of professional experience in closure mechanisms.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D design software; CATIA V5 preferred.
• Ability to explain technical topics to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform design-releasing duties for North American vehicle projects and manage BOMs.
• Create and modify 3D data and 2D drawings via CATIA V5 and other engineering tools.
• Estimate and create cost/mass targets for components/parts.
• Investigate quality, assembly obstacles, and durability issues; suggest improvements.
• Support and interface with other engineering and design functions concerning vehicle development.
• Review part/system performance and regulatory testing.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
