Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Closing Officer to coordinate and execute loan closing activities for commercial GSE transactions.

You will review documents, prepare wire requests, liaise with counsel, title, lenders and borrowers, and ensure timely delivery of closing packages with accuracy and adherence to investor requirements. Qualifications

• 1-3 years of commercial GSE closing experience
• Thoroughly familiar with escrow/real estate terminology and real estate documents
• Ability to navigate through various loan structures and non-standard documentation
• Strong analytical, research and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Review loan documents prior to closing to confirm terms align with loan committee and rate lock conditions
• Prepare closing tasks including wire requests and internal forms
• Coordinate with title/escrow, counsel and lenders for closing requirements
• Assist Closing Officer with coordination of closing documentation
• Partner with underwriting to ensure delivery documents are timely
• Identify incoming funds for rate lock deposits and assist in wiring to parties
• Manage insurance review and internal waiver processes
• Serve as back-up for generating final reports and saving to Servicing folder
• Communicate issues and provide guidance across departments
