Job summary

Harps is seeking a Closing Manager to supervise the store operations, ensure department readiness, and deliver high-quality customer service by guiding staff and maintaining food safety standards.

You will manage front-end operations, replenishment, merchandising, risk management, coaching, and conflict resolution, while building relationships and modeling professional behavior to meet Harps' mission of value, freshness, and friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience in a retail grocery store preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and the ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise and supplies weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Department Operations: supervise readiness, marketing plan execution, price maintenance, inventory prep, and cleanliness.
• Replenishment & Inventory Procedures: ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing and returns.
• Merchandising & Sales Floor Standards: stocking, signing and display maintenance.
• Fresh Food Preparation & Production: maintain food safety and service counters.
• Front End Operations: manage schedules, registers, breaks, supplies and closing procedures.
• Risk Management/Avoidance: monitor safety programs and training.
• Coaching/Mentoring: develop staff by providing resources and support.
• Conflict Resolution: facilitate resolution and balance priorities.
• Providing Direction: set priorities and assign tasks.
• Safety/Quality Orientation: emphasize high quality and safety procedures.
