Primary Function

The Manager – Closing is responsible for managing a team of Closers, ensuring timely processing of closing requests, and confirming that exception items are properly cleared.

Principal Duties
  • Manage a team of Closers.
  • Ensure requests for closings/scheduling are addressed within 2 hours of receipt and that exception items are cleared.
  • Coordinate closings with broker partners.
  • Manage capacity to generate and forward compliant closing documents before scheduled dates.
  • Ensure all closings are completed with timely documentation and uploaded to the imaging system.
  • Provide collateral timely to the funding team upon document receipt.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least four years of mortgage closing experience (conventional and government).
  • At least four years in loan closing administration with supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage closing practices and regulations.
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state policies, FNMA, FHLMC, and government guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and adaptability in communication.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Loan Origination Systems.
  • Ability to perform under stress while maintaining high performance levels.
