Job summary

Busy Bees in El Mirage, AZ is seeking a Lead Teacher to work with teachers and families to create a home away from home for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAC guidelines and AZ standards.

You will develop developmentally appropriate curriculum, curate activities, maintain a warm safe environment, and partner with families to plan care and education. No evenings or weekends; part-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in child care is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
• Flexibility to work within standard operating hours and follow state criteria.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years.
• Develop curriculum in line with NAC standards & AZ Early Learning Standards.

What will you be doing?

As a Lead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to Early Learning Leaders NAC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years of age.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards & the AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curating programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

• 6+ months of experience in a licensed child care facility
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong customer service skills
