Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked and customers receive friendly, knowledgeable service.

This entry‑level role involves various retail tasks, including product placement, stock movement, and back‑room organization, with overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead. You will work as part of a team, following procedures in a fast‑paced environment and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Entry level stocking clerk responsible for stocking shelves and assisting customers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Overnight shifts required to prepare store.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Must follow procedures and work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to shelves efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.

$15.25 - $16.98
