Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes division in Raynham, MA seeks a Manager, Close and Consolidations to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements. The role partners with regional and global finance teams to drive high-quality consolidated reporting.

You will coach and develop the accounting team, standardize processes, and advance automation while maintaining strong controls and GAAP compliance in a transforming business.

Qualifications

• Typically 6-8 years of experience in accounting, close, and consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with consolidation systems (Hyperion, OneStream, SAP).
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of consolidated financial results.
• Oversee consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, equity accounting, and system consolidations.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, and external reporting requirements.
• Partner with regional finance, FP&A, tax, and controllership teams to resolve complex accounting and consolidation issues.
• Review and analyze consolidated financial statements, balance sheets, and key variance drivers, providing clear explanations to senior leadership.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring issue resolution.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across close and consolidation activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
