Job summary

Clinton Public Schools seeks substitute teachers and paraprofessionals to support daily learning and student growth in local classrooms.

As a substitute, you will follow established lesson plans, engage students across subjects, and adapt to varying learning needs while building positive relationships within the school community.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Fingerprints on file.
• PERS Retirees Allowed.

Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher per district lesson plans and Kelly policies.
• Lead instruction by following the teacher's lesson plans.
• Instruct students across subject areas and adapt to diverse learning styles.
• Build positive relationships and encourage classroom participation.
• Create and maintain a conducive learning environment.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans and prepare/grade tests and assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
• Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans
• Instructing students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
• Building positive relationships
• Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
• Motivating students to learn and encouraging classroom participationCreate a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
• Adapt to the various learning styles of students
• For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments
