Cosmetic Beauty Advisor Job Description

The Cosmetic Beauty Advisor reports to the Sales Team Manager/Store Manager and ensures the uniform execution of Belk's brand standards within their store.

Responsibilities

1. Sales - Responsible for:
   • Meeting or exceeding personal sales per hour goals
   • Demonstrating excellent selling skills and customer service as a role model
   • Executing successful promotions and events such as pre-sells and GWP’s
   • Driving sales through customer clienteling
   • Collaborating with store management to optimize business-to-business opportunities
   • Achieving assigned sales goals
   • Reducing shrinkage in the area
2. Customer Service - Responsible for:
   • Meeting or exceeding sales per hour (SPH) goals
   • Meeting or exceeding credit application goals
   • Personalized customer interaction, including thanking customers by name
   • Handling transactions efficiently and accurately
   • Providing high-quality customer service to support Customer Satisfaction Surveys (CSS)
   • Building and maintaining a customer clientele
   • Protecting personal customer information
3. General Responsibilities:
   • Maintaining store standards in presentation and hygiene
   • Unpacking and storing new merchandise promptly
   • Setting up promotional signage timely
   • Following procedures for inventory and system operations, including AIR, markdowns, retickets, and RTVs
   • Adhering to Belk and vendor dress standards
   • Cooperating with team members and management
   • Complying with store policies on attendance and conduct
   • Taking on additional duties as needed during busy times or upon request
   • Assisting with non-sell duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience

• No formal education required
• Retail experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

• Proficiency with computers, telephones, and related equipment
• Hand manipulation for removing sensor tags
• Ability to push/pull stock carts weighing 100-500 pounds
• Reaching above and below shoulder level, lifting 25-50 pounds
• Ability to apply makeup/treatment to customers' faces
