Cosmetic Beauty Advisor Job Description
The Cosmetic Beauty Advisor reports to the Sales Team Manager/Store Manager and ensures the consistent execution of Belk's directives within their store.
- Sales Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed personal sales per hour goals.
- Serve as a role model demonstrating excellent selling skills and customer service.
- Execute successful promotions and special events, including pre-sells and GWP’s.
- Drive sales through customer clienteling.
- Collaborate with store management to optimize business-to-business opportunities.
- Achieve assigned dollar line goals.
- Identify and reduce shrinkage in the area.
- Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed SPH (Sales Per Hour) goals.
- Meet or exceed credit application goals.
- Thank each customer by name following a purchase.
- Handle transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide high-quality customer service to support Customer Satisfaction Surveys (CSS).
- Build and maintain a customer clientele base.
- Record and protect personal customer information.
- General Responsibilities:
- Maintain the sales floor and stock areas according to store standards in presentation and hygiene.
- Unpack new merchandise promptly, ensuring deliveries do not obstruct customer access.
- Set up signage for promotional events in a timely manner.
- Follow procedures for all systems including AIR, counts, markdowns, retickets, inventory control, and RTVs.
- Adhere to Belk and vendor dress standards and appearance.
- Cooperate with fellow associates and management.
- Comply with store policies on attendance, tardiness, and the associate handbook.
- Accept additional duties or responsibilities during busy times or as requested by management.
- Assist with all non-sell duties as assigned, where appropriate.
Minimum Education & Experience
- No formal education requirement.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends due to shift rotation.
Physical Requirements
- Use of computer keyboard, telephone, and related equipment.
- Hand manipulation for sensor tag removal.
- Ability to push/pull 100-500 pounds when moving stock carts.
- Perform tasks involving reaching above and below shoulder level, lifting 25-50 pound boxes.
- Ability to apply makeup/treatment to customers' faces.
