Job description

Position Details:

Receptionist/Front Desk-Lake Health Clinics, PRN (As Needed), no guarantee of hours, 8-hour day shift, typically 8am-5pm, must be able to work a flexible shift.
Non-Exempt, Non-Union, Hourly, non-benefitted

Position Summary:
Responsible to provide a variety of clerical services to support day-to-day operations of the department. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, admitting patients, acting as cashier, accepting payments for procedures and supplies, pulling and filing charts, as well as completing proper paperwork for those charts. Answering phones, faxing & copying paperwork, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate accounting of clinic.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current CPR certification required.
Experience:
Prior clerical experience in a medical setting preferred. Experience with Microsoft Suite computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook), preferred.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Capable of performing duties as assigned. Must be able to quickly learn skill sets necessary to perform clinical duties. Ability to communicate well with the public. Able to work effectively with team members and use tact and discretion in dealing with varying job situations. Able to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to deliver patient care under physician supervision and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in operating business office computer programs. Adheres to established hospital policies and procedures.

Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
