Job summary

Family Services, Inc. in Red Hook, NY seeks a part-time Clinician (LCSW or LMHC) to deliver counseling and psychotherapy to clients with diverse social, emotional challenges. Responsibilities

• Maintain an individual caseload, providing clients with individual and group therapy.
• Assist with pre-intake, intake, and screening of new clients into the system.
• Make differential diagnosis and refer clients to appropriate programs.
• Formulate and adjust treatment plans for individual clients reflecting changes from therapy.
• Maintain case records and document contacts and deadlines.
• Prepare clients for completion of treatment and coordinate with Case Manager or Licensed Prescriber as needed.
• Coordinate treatment with schools, Social Services, Probation, and other agencies.
• Provide preventive care and community education on mental health and substance use.
• Develop follow-up studies to determine program effectiveness.
• Respond to queries from insurance, Social Services and other agencies.

Title: Clinician, LCSW, LMHC

Status: Part-Time, Hourly, 8 Hours a Week Minimum

Supervisor: Center Director, Clinical Supervisor (LCSW)

Salary Range: $30.00 - $36.06 per hour (hourly rates are based on experience, education, licensure, and length of licensure)

Location: Red Hook

Center Operating Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Centers are open 1-2 late days per week till 7pm, no Weekend hours

Function:

Delivers counseling and psychotherapy services to clients with social, emotional, and related difficulties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to intake; diagnostic assessment and evaluation; treatment planning; individual and group therapy; maintenance of case records; community education; coordination of treatment with other agencies and professionals providing ancillary services; and participation in client discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Current Licensure as aClinicalSocial Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain an individual caseload, providing clients with individual and group therapy.
• Assist with the pre-intake, intake, and screening of new clients into the system, compiling information on clients' psycho-social history.
• Make differential diagnosis of clients' problems and refer clients to appropriate programs.
• Formulate treatment plan for individual clients and modify treatment plan on an on-going basis to reflect client's behavior changes as a result of therapy.
• Maintain case records, documenting all client contacts and meeting deadlines for required paperwork.
• Prepare client for the completion of treatment.
• Refer client to Case Manager and/or Licensed Prescriber for needed services which would not be under jurisdiction of this position.
• Coordinate clients' treatment with other agencies such as schools, Social Services, Probation Department, etc.
• Provide preventive care on substance abuse, mental health issues, etc. through information and educational community activities.
• Develop and implement follow-up studies to determine program effectiveness.
• Respond to queries from insurance companies, Social Services and other agencies concerning pertinent client information.
• Provide training on issues related to mental health treatment.Provide advocacy for patients and act as liaison with community resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
