Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Salary: $65,000 - $95,000 per year (depending on experience and licensure)

Shift: Full Time

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

Work Location: In person

Job Summary

This Clinician will provide direct clinical services to clients at our 40‑bed residential substance abuse treatment facility in a variety of modalities, including individual, family and group psychotherapy and psychoeducation. Clinicians must be skilled and experienced at treating addictions and their co‑occurring mental health disorders, with an emphasis on trauma‑informed care. They must work effectively, efficiently and flexibly in a fast‑paced, demanding, team‑driven environment, and be adept at organization and prioritization, treatment planning, crisis management and electronic documentation.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform psychosocial evaluations and develop treatment plans and interventions appropriate to the client’s age, education, cultural and ethnic background, medical status, substance use and mental diagnoses, functional ability, and life circumstances.
  • Document all patient‑related activities in a timely and professional manner, in accordance with agency policy and relevant licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Perform all administrative tasks related to job assignments and other designated tasks, as well as other work‑related duties assigned or requested by the manager.
  • Provide psychotherapy for patients, families and groups; act as a resource for clinical and procedural expertise to other staff members through mutual consultation, and consult with other professionals as needed.
  • Participate in clinical utilization review and interdisciplinary team sessions as needed, to assist in patient assessment, development and revision of treatment goals, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision rounds and consult with the medical director, program manager and colleagues when clinical decisions regarding risk arise.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, observation and written skills.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of drug‑free workplace policies.
  • Knowledge of addiction issues, co‑occurring disorders, and the 12‑Step recovery program.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Understanding of alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact on the individual and their family.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose, including first aid and CPR.
  • Experience working with addiction in a residential and/or intensive outpatient milieu.
Experience
  • Prior experience in behavioral healthcare or substance abuse setting preferred.
Qualifications / Licensure & Certifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, education, psychology, mental health counseling or another related human services field.
  • Master‑level clinician should be licensed, eligible and/or LADC‑I, LMHC, LICSW or LMFT.
