Howard Center in Burlington, VT is hiring a Clinician for School Programs at Colchester Middle School. Start date August 3rd; provide mental health services, consultation and case management to youth using a Social Work model.

This is a co-hire with Colchester School District; responsibilities include developing treatment plans, providing services in schools, homes and communities, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a mental health discipline.
• Experience with youth facing emotional/behavioral challenges.
• VT Clinical License or License Eligible and on the Roster of Non-Licensed, Non-Certified Psychotherapists.
• Valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment plans for students with significant emotional/behavioral challenges.
• Provide services in school, home and community settings.
• Provide services across multiple levels: individual, family, group, staff/team, classroom and school community.
• Provide supportive counseling and collateral contact to students and families to reach treatment goals.
• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnosis.
• Provide crisis prevention and intervention.
• Educate/consult with school staff about mental health issues, poverty, marginalization and disenfranchisement.
• Clinical documentation and record keeping per agency requirements.

Hiring for the next contract year with the start date of August 3rd. Provide mental health, consultation and case management services to youth, using a Social Work model

The School Services Program helps children, ages 3-22 and their families address challenges so that children can experience healthy development and school success. School Services Clinicians act as the link between home, school and community in order to promote and support students' overall school and social success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment plans for students experiencing significant emotional/behavioral/environmental challenges
• Provide services in school, home and community settings
• Provide services/support at multiple levels including: individual, family, group, staff/team, classroom and school community

Licensing Requirement Notice

Vermont regulation mandates that individuals who are on the Roster of Nonlicensed Noncertified Psychotherapists, through the Office of Professional Regulation, must be actively working towards professional licensure. This rule does not apply to First Call for Chittenden County.

Structure:

• Full-time, 40 hours/ week
• AFSCME Union (dues will apply)
• Annual starting salary at $57,314.71 (Non-Licensed), $61,269.43 (Licensed)
• We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
