Licensing Support: Serve as the subject matter expert on state specific licensing requirements for physicians and APPs. Interpret and clearly explain complex, credential dependent regulations; provide clinicians with the information, resources, and direction they need to complete required applications and documentation; and monitor state processing timelines to anticipate delays and keep licensure efforts on track.
Document Intake & Quality Review: Lead the intake and thorough review of clinician documentation across regions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with state specific requirements. Maintain an organized, reliable documentation process that prepares all materials for downstream credentialing, reducing barriers, and preventing delays once applications are launched.
Pre-Credentialing Process Oversight: Oversee the full pre-credentialing workflow to ensure all prerequisite steps—such as documentation intake, licensing progress monitoring, and confirmation of credentialing site details—are completed in the correct sequence and on schedule. Maintain visibility into timelines and dependencies so credentialing can begin with sufficient lead time to meet anticipated start dates and avoid preventable delays.
Credentialing Coordination: Track credentialing milestones and status updates within enterprise systems, maintaining clear visibility into progress across clinicians, sites, and regions. Identify risks or delays early, elevate barriers to the appropriate stakeholders, and facilitate the information flow needed to keep credentialing activities moving forward. Ensure all dependencies are addressed in a timely manner, so credentialing can be completed within required timelines and aligned to anticipated start dates.
Cross Department Collaboration: Partner closely with recruitment, medical staff services, managed care, and government enrollment teams to align intake workflows and ensure consistent, accurate handoffs. Facilitate the exchange of key information—such as site details, credentialing needs, and anticipated start dates—to support smooth transitions from offer acceptance through onboarding and into patient care. Strengthen cross-functional coordination by identifying gaps, clarifying roles, and promoting shared understanding of timelines and dependencies.
Process Support & Consistency: Support the development and consistent application of standardized forms, terminology, and tracking tools across all stages of the credentialing workflow. Contribute to workflow updates by identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and sharing actionable feedback that enhances clarity, reduces variation, and strengthens operational efficiency across regions and teams.
Communication & Education: Serve as a key point of contact for clinicians and internal stakeholders, offering clear guidance on licensing timelines, required documentation, and onboarding expectations. Provide accessible explanations, set realistic expectations, and ensure stakeholders understand their roles and next steps throughout the pre-credentialing and onboarding process.
