Clinician-IHS

Location: San Diego, CA

Salary: $33.00 to $40.00 per hour

Pay Frequency: 24 pay periods per year

Full Time, Non-Exempt, Driving Required

The lower end of the pay range applies to candidates with minimal experience; the higher end to seasoned professionals with extensive relevant experience.

PATH seeks passionate individuals to join our Interim Housing Services team as Clinicians.

About PATH: Since 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered effective approaches to assist those experiencing homelessness, offering services statewide including prevention, outreach, employment support, case management, interim and permanent housing.

About The Job: The Clinician provides clinical support to interdisciplinary teams, focusing on mental wellness through assessments and interventions. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments as per policies.
  2. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments.
  3. Offer mental health training and consultation to staff.
  4. Connect clients to appropriate mental health and SUD treatments.
  5. Provide temporary counseling until clients are connected to ongoing treatment.

What You Bring: Candidates should possess:

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high-quality work ethic.
  • Effective collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Proactive initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Critical thinking and sound decision-making.
  • High ethical standards and professional boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications: Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in social work or related field, current registration in California as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC.

Mandatory Requirements: Eligibility to work in the U.S., ability to obtain CPR/First Aid, and successful completion of TB testing, background, and drug screening.

Driving: Reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to qualify for PATH’s insurance coverage are required.

Employment Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; cannot be a current or recent PATH client.

Work Location: All work must be performed within California. Remote work is not offered; hybrid schedules depend on role requirements.
