Job summary

Casa Pacifica is seeking a Clinician I in Camarillo to deliver trauma‑informed therapy and manage a caseload of youth and families. You will implement evidence‑based individual, family, and group interventions, and collaborate with schools, probation, and community resources to support treatment goals.

The role requires a Master’s level education and eligibility for BBS/APA registration as APCC/AMFT/ASW/MFTI, with preference for experience with severely emotionally disturbed youth.

Qualifications

• Master’s level education with relevant clinical training and licensure eligibility.
• Registered with BBS/APA as APCC, AMFT, ASW, or MFTI.
• Experience with severely emotionally disturbed youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred youth and families to identify needs.
• Develop individualized treatment and discharge plans with stakeholders.

The Clinician I manages a caseload of assigned clients within their designated program and delivers trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate clinical services that support client stabilization, growth, and progress toward treatment goals.The Clinician I upholds Casa Pacifica’s Standards of Behavior and consistently demonstrates the agency’s core values of respect, integrity, compassion, and courage in all interactions. The Clinician I ensures that clinical practice and behavior support the achievement of treatment goals, program objectives, and Casa Pacifica’s mission.Starting pay is typically between $70,000 and $80,000 annually; however, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):Conduct comprehensive assessments of referred youth and families to identify strengths, needs, and risk factors.Develop individualized treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with the youth, family members, and other relevant stakeholders.Implement evidence-based interventions designed to address treatment goals including but not limited to individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and crisis intervention.Collaborate with other service providers involved in the youth's life, such as probation officers, school personnel, child welfare workers, and community resources, to ensure coordinated care.Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards.Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth and families throughout the course of treatment, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills.Maintains compliance with all local, County, State, and Federal government regulations to include Title 22, Division 6, and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.Attends outside training events and conferences as requested.Maintains compliance with all local, County, State, and Federal government regulations to include Title 22, Division 6, and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations and clients.May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Position requires staff must be at least 21 years of age. Completed and cleared Livescan, criminal statement, health screening with TB test. Must undergo a one-hour training which reviews mandatory reporting requirements as per Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA). This training takes place during pre-service orientation training and periodically thereafter.Valid driver’s license is required for transporting youths. Any changes that occurs on your driving record must be reported immediately to your supervisor.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write comprehensive evaluations and progress notes/ reports on youth’s treatment goals.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
