Join to apply for the Clinician - Empowering Families role at Child & Family Services, Inc.

Empowering Families for Success (EFS) is a non-billable program funded by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) Child, Youth and Family Division to provide in-home outreach clinical services. The EFS Program works with families and youth ages 0-22 with acute mental health needs approved for DMH flexible support services. Clinicians will provide in-home and community-based clinical interventions that support the youth and family in achieving specific treatment goals that lead to improved functioning in identified areas of their life. All clinical interventions are designed to prevent out-of-home placement through enhancing emotional well-being, self-regulation, symptom management, social skills, family resiliency, and self-efficacy in response to challenges posed by severe emotional disturbance, peers, school, and associated stressors on the family system. Clinical services are coherent and integrated with other services and supports in the life of a DMH involved Youth. Language Differential: $1 per hour (eligible languages include: Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, or ASL) Hybrid Schedule Details: All sessions with clients are in person, but employees can start their workday from home before heading into the community. After initial training, employees are only required to report to the office 1 day per week. Work from home is a privilege that can be revoked if performance expectations are not met. Qualifications: MA level graduates are welcome to apply. Offers are pending verification of MA degree. - Masters degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution. - License eligible or licensed (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) - new graduates welcome. - Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Establish positive relationships with youth and families referred to the program.
  2. Manage a caseload of youth and families for weekly in-home family therapy.
  3. Utilize diagnostic skills, including DSM-5 knowledge and family assessment tools.
  4. Assist youth and families in obtaining and monitoring services across medical, educational, and social sectors.
  5. Provide strengths-based, wraparound services.
  6. Create a Community Service Plan and develop targeted treatment approaches.
  7. Participate in team interventions, safety planning, and therapeutic services.
  8. Coordinate services to ensure integration and coherence across providers.
  9. Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic groups.
  10. Maintain flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
  11. Participate in 24-hour on-call support on a rotating basis.
  12. Maintain documentation according to agency standards.
  13. Collaborate with other service providers and participate in weekly supervision.
