Morris Home supports transgender and nonbinary individuals with a gender-affirming and supportive environment. The program helps participants develop sobriety, manage emotional and behavioral difficulties, maintain safe and healthy lifestyles, and build healthy relationships with peers, family, and the community. Morris Home is the only residential recovery program in the country offering comprehensive services specifically for the transgender and gender-expansive community, providing a safe, recovery-oriented environment where individuals can be their authentic selves and are treated with respect and dignity.

Position Summary

The Clinician will design and implement individualized behavioral and therapeutic treatment plans, goals, and intervention methods in collaboration with clinical, support, management staff, and family or support networks. The role involves providing direct clinical care through individual counseling, community and residence interactions, and support network communication. A commitment to RHD values should be demonstrated in all job duties.

Essential Duties and Functions

Direct Care:

  • Conduct screening and assessments using validated tools to evaluate depression, trauma, substance use, and associated risks.

Administrative:

  • Complete assessments and documentation as required to support ongoing services.

Multi-Disciplinary Teamwork:

  • Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic, trauma-informed, and values-based services.
  • Lead the development and recertification of treatment plans, ISPs, goal setting, and treatment objectives for clients.
  • Coordinate input from various professionals and support staff into measurable treatment plans.
  • Assist in crisis intervention from a trauma-informed perspective when needed.

Training and Development:

  • Engage in quality improvement and training activities to ensure program excellence and compliance.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field
  • Clinical Mental Health license (LPC, LCSW, LISW)
  • Minimum two years' experience
  • Experience with gender-affirming/transgender individuals is preferred
