Job description

This position is eligible for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds which includes a one-time $750 sign-on bonus payable after the completion of 90 days of employment.

About Your Team
Your team understands the impact of trauma and provides residents and their families with solutions for positive outcomes and permanence. Your team creates a sense of stability by providing a home-like and nurturing environment with daily experiences and life skills.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will provide individual counseling to program youth and family counseling to support permanency goals. The clinician will complete an initial assessment and treatment plan and continue to develop, and implement treatment plans, as required, partnering with staff, clients, and their families, and provide transition and discharge planning as appropriate.

Your Main Priorities
While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:
• Maintains caseload assigned.
• Participates in interviewing youth for program admission, disposition, and intake.
• Makes appropriate referrals for specialized evaluations and treatment (i.e., psychiatric evaluation, medical evaluation, substance abuse and assessment, etc.).
• Makes clinical recommendations for appropriate levels of care in order to refer to various points in continuum care.
• Provides clinical consultation and training for all Residential Services program staff.
• Participate in treatment team meetings with key stakeholders and DCYF.
• Collaborates with program staff, to complete psycho-educational groups within our Residential Services programs.
• Completes discharge and transition plan with aftercare needs in mind.

Who You Are
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
• Master’s degree in social work or related field required
Eligibility for licensure required (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, etc.).
• Active licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum 6 months’ clinical experience required, preferably with children and/or adolescents.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
• Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
• Collaboration and teamwork.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and car registration.
• Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check.
• The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.

Physical Requirements
Direct Service Staff (Travel as part of position):
This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs. This role also requires operating desktop, laptop and/or cell phone, and communicating with colleagues.

Travel Requirements
Statewide travel required.
