Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program (LAPP) is an individual & family services company located at 62 E Stevens St, Newark, Ohio. LAPP focuses on helping individuals recover from alcohol and other drug addiction as well as mental health issues. By providing integrated behavioral health services and employing evidence-based practices like Stage Wise Treatment and Motivational Interviewing techniques, LAPP aims to enhance treatment outcomes for the community.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Clinician at LAPP. The Clinician will be responsible for providing integrated behavioral health services, using Stage Wise Treatment and Motivational Interviewing techniques to aid individuals in recovery. The role will be located in Newark, OH, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis skills
• Experience in providing counseling and therapy
• Knowledge of Stage Wise Treatment and Motivational Interviewing techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience in substance abuse treatment is a plus
• Ability to facilitate treatment groups and other recovery support services.
• Bachelor's in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field, Master's preferred.
• Required licensure as a Licensed Social Work (LSW), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II or III (LCDC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). LISW, LICDC, or LPCC is a plus.
