Job summary

Meridian Behavioral Health seeks a Clinician to provide bio-psychosocial assessments within 24 hours of admission, counsel substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients, and develop individualized treatment plans in North Central Florida.

The role requires a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology, and licensure (LCSW/LMHC/LMFT or Psychologist) with at least one year of mental health experience; valid Florida driver’s license is required for center driving duties.

Responsibilities

  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessment within 24 hours of admission.
  • Counsel substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients individually and in group sessions.
  • Develop individualized client treatment plans within 7 days of admission.
  • Review and evaluate clients' progress against goals and treatment plans.
  • Intervene as advocate for clients in crisis situations.

Salary: Unlicensed $47,500 | Outpatient Programs: $52,500 | Licensed: $61,800 - $66,950

Various Locations: Gainesville FL, Lake City FL, Starke FL, Chiefland FL, Ocala FL, MacClenny FL, Live Oak FL, Trenton FL, and Palatka FL.

  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessment of assigned clients within 24 hour ofadmission.
  • Counsel substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients, individually and in groupsessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and makingchanges.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding the patients'histories and progress, services provided, and other required information.
  • Develop individualized client treatment plans within 7 days of admission, basedon research, clinical experience, and client histories.
  • Review and evaluate clients' progress in relation to measurable goals andobjectives described in treatment and care plans.
  • Interview clients, review records, and confer with other professionals in orderto evaluate individuals' mental and physical condition, and to determine theirsuitability for participation in a specific program.
  • Intervene as advocate for clients or patients in order to resolve emergencyproblems in crisis situations
Who are we looking for?
  • Master'sdegree in social work, counseling, psychology or closely related field.
  • LCSW,LMHC, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist
  • Atleast one year of experience in the mental health field
  • Knowledge of the Baker Act is preferred
  • ***Depending on the specific program*** Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting companyinsurance requirements
Drivers Requirement

Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements. In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years. Drivers over 65 years old must provide a current doctor's note stating they have no driving limitations.
