Job summary

Brick House Recovery in Idaho seeks Licensed Therapists to provide individual and group therapy, promoting the wellbeing of clients across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings.

You will document in EHR, participate in a treatment team, and contribute to program development, staff trainings, and crisis intervention as needed. Idaho licensure (LCPC/LCSW/LPC/MSW) is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited school and Idaho licensure (LCPC/LCSW/LPC/MSW).
• 1+ year experience with inpatient, residential, outpatient mental health care. Direct clinical and case management experience.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and direct others; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with EHR and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual therapy sessions and group therapy daily.
• Documentation in EHR including intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, UA results and discharge summaries.
• Treats clients through a Treatment Team approach and staff together to support progress.
• Provides didactic or educational groups as directed by supervisor.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Evaluates information to identify causes of problems and documents the treatment plan.
• Conducts counseling to help clients gain insight, define goals and plan.
• Follow up results of counseling to assess effectiveness.
• Provides crisis intervention and consultation.
• Maintain minimum therapy hours weekly as directed.

Position Summary

Our Licensed Therapists ensure that mental health and substance use disorder treatment services are provided in a way that maximizes the client’s emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well-being. The roles are to provide individual and group therapy to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree from an accredited school, licensed in the State of Idaho: LCPC, LCSW, LPC, MSW


• Minimum of 1-years’ experience with inpatient, residential, outpatient, and/or mental health care. Must have direct clinical and case management experience, group leadership experience and knowledge regarding ASAM criteria and the Twelve Steps of recovery.


• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and direct the work of others, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Must have strong computer skills (EHR, charting, Google docs, Apps, Microsoft Office)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides individual therapy sessions and group therapy on a daily basis. Specific duties may include: family therapy, conjoint therapy.


• Documentation and signatures in Electronic Health Record (EHR) including: Intake Assessments, Master Treatment Plans, Utilization Reviews and Updates, Progress Notes, UA results, Incident Reports and Discharge Summaries. These records must meet requirements of company and regulatory agencies.


• Treats clients through a Treatment Team approach. Treatment Teams discuss and staff all client issues together so that the treatment team is empowered with insights to support clients in their progress.


• Provide didactic or educational groups as needed or directed by superior or director.


• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.


• Evaluates information to identify causes of problems of individuals and determine the most appropriate course of action and documents it in a formal treatment plan.


• Conducts counseling or therapeutic interviews to assist individuals to gain insight into personal problems, define goals, and treatment plan reflecting Strengths, Needs, Abilities, Preferences.


• Follow up results of counseling to determine the reliability and validity of treatment used.


• Provides crisis intervention and consultation.


• Required to provide a minimum number of therapy hours weekly, as specified by superior or director.


• Is required to carry a minimum caseload, as specified by superior or director.


• May provide consultation/education to community service clubs, organizations, human service agencies, hospitals, and various county agencies/departments.


• Participates in program development and staff in-services and training.


• Performs administrative functions consistent with the needs of the program and under the direction of superior or director.


• Participates in staff meetings as required.

Conditions of Employment

• Completion of a pre-employment drug screening and random for upon reasonable suspicion of use


• Completion of orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work


• Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 30 days of employment


• Must be a sober person in recovery at least 18 months, unless determined by the Executive Team and CEO.


• Successfully pass an enhanced background check with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare

Level of Supervision

• Works under minimal supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals and consults with superior or higher levels of management on the more difficult and complex phases of work.


• Is expected to be a strong self-starter and able to organize their time and work requirements sufficiently to meet established timelines and quality expectations.


• Provides direction and supervision as needed to program staff as it relates to day-to-day care and service delivery and its impact on the client’s treatment goals and progress.


• Responsible to ensure continuity of therapeutic care for ALL clients in the program by following all policies and procedures including but not limited to:

Business Contacts

• Interactions may include Clinical Site Lead, Clinical Director, Billing and Insurance (UR) Personnel, Medical Personnel, Operations Department, Recovery Coaches, and program staff to discuss clients’ needs and treatment progress.


• Promotes positive interpersonal relations with external clients, community agencies, county departments, schools, referral sources, and families as required.

• Responsible for deciding treatment plans for clients, reacting decisively in emergency situations and crisis intervention, decisions regarding admission and discharge of clients in conjunction with the Clinical Directorand the treatment
