Job summary

Endeavors seeks a Licensed Clinician to provide mental health services to CBP employees and families at the Endeavors Workforce Wellness Program Office in California. You will deliver trauma-informed care, conduct risk assessments, and maintain documentation in the EHR to support continuity of care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, a California license (LPC/LMFT/LCSW), 2+ years of counseling experience, PTSD knowledge, and BLS certification within 1 month.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling or related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years counseling experience, including graduate internship.
• Current independent California license to practice (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW).
• Knowledge of DSM-5-TR (including PTSD) and trauma-focused care.
• Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Must be a Licensed Clinician to provide direct care for individuals and groups.
• Complete risk assessments, risk mitigation and monitoring.
• Perform comprehensive mental health/psychosocial assessments, case conceptualizations, DSM evaluations, and treatment planning; maintain clinical documentation in EHR; assist with discharge planning.
• Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based treatments in collaboration with Endeavors Wellness Model.
• Maintain at least 65% Direct Client Service Time.
• Coordinate with clients, families, physicians, and care teams to ensure optimal care.
• Support outreach events to raise awareness of Endeavors Behavioral Health services.
• Attend MDT meetings, clinical consultations and administrative meetings.
• Complete annual required trainings and other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service focused on clients and families.

Job description

The Clinician will provide treatment to eligible U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) employees and their families who have mental health needs and/or mental illness. They will be proficient in stress management and resilience-building interventions, understanding of occupational stress unique to law enforcement, veterans and their families and familiarity with evidence-based approaches for trauma and family systems. The Clinician will provide support to clients to include referrals, scheduling appointments, continuity of care and access to appropriate services

Job Responsibilities:

• Must be a Licensed Clinician to provide direct care including a variety of mental health services for individuals and groups.
• Complete appropriate risk assessment, risk mitigation and monitoring.
• Complete comprehensive mental health/ psychosocial assessments, case conceptualizations, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, measurement-based assessments, maintain appropriate clinical documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) or equivalent and facilitate effective discharge planning.
• Deliver trauma informed, evidence-based treatments in collaboration with the Endeavors Wellness Model.
• Maintain at least 65% Direct Client Service Time
• Collaborates and coordinates with the client, caregiver, physicians, director, case management and all other disciplines of the Behavioral Health Department or in the community to provide the best care possible.
• Support and/or attend outreach events to highlight Endeavors Behavioral Health services to raise awareness with community partners and other potential stakeholders and encourage referrals.
• Attend weekly Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT), clinical consultation and administrative meetings.
• Complete annual required trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2+ years of experience providing counseling services, including graduate-level internship experience, is required. Must hold a current, independent California license to practice (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW). Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required based on program needs. Knowledge of DSM-5-TR (or latest edition), including PTSD diagnosis and treatment, is required. Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of employment is required. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver’s License with clear record. Have a current California Advanced-Level license to practice psychology, social work, or counseling. LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Employee should expect to work one evening a week to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served.
