Position Overview

The Clinician at North Suffolk Community Services, Inc. (East Boston, MA), is responsible for supporting the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) program and providing services to Ambulatory Department clients. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting individual and group therapy with identified clients.
  2. Providing screening, triage, and referral for individuals seeking outpatient or diversionary services at NSMHA.
  3. Coordinating diagnostic assessments and urgent psychopharmacology appointments as appropriate.
  4. Conducting diagnostic assessments of clients and referring/transitioning them to appropriate services.
  5. Preparing client documentation in a timely manner, complying with medical necessity, agency, and payer guidelines.
  6. Providing crisis intervention and on-call coverage as needed.
  7. Collaborating and coordinating care with other providers and agencies.
Minimum Requirements

Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field, with at least 1 year of experience providing community-based direct care to an outpatient population.
