Job summary

Support, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Clinical/Behavioral Clinician to join our team, providing consultation and counseling to adults with developmental disabilities under Medicaid Waiver services.

The Clinician will conduct assessments, formulate treatment plans, and train families and host-home providers, collaborating with IDT to deliver wholistic care. Requires a Master's in counseling/social work/psychology, Colorado driver's license, and 2+ years' clinical experience; background screening

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology.
  • Two years' experience working directly with a clinical population OR related experience under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician.
  • Valid CO State Issued Driver's license.
  • Background screening is required prior to an offer of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing consultation and counseling to people with I/DD who are involved in Medicaid Waiver services.
  • Conducting assessments and formulating individualized multidisciplinary treatment plans for homes and community settings.
  • Consulting with and training family members and host-home providers on therapeutic interventions and behavioral programs.
  • Working with IDT members to provide wholistic support to people receiving services.
  • Meeting monthly billed unit productivity goals.
  • Participating in regional leadership team meetings to review health, issues, and plan regional events.

Education

Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology
CO State Issued Driver's license
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist in CO

POSITION

Our Clinicians work with other dedicated professionals who share a passion for helping individuals in need by being creative and innovative to tailor the best available interventions for each individual and treatment team. We offer the chance to make a significant impact on individual clients and on the Colorado I/DD community as a whole. Our team consists of professionals from diverse backgrounds including Counseling, Social Work, and Applied Behavior Analysis who have integrated their approaches using in-depth understanding of the neurobiological and developmental impacts of early childhood experiences. Our team is constantly learning together both formally and informally through our Clinical supervision model; applying what is learned to individual clients, families, and to the design of our services and programs.

RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Providing consultation and counseling to people with I/DD who are involved in Medicaid Waiver services.
  • Conducting assessments and formulating individualized multidisciplinary treatment plans to guide services in homes and community settings
  • Consulting with and training family members and host-home providers on therapeutic interventions and behavioral programs.
  • Working with Inter Disciplinary Team (IDT) members to provide wholistic support to people receiving services
  • Meeting individual and team monthly billed unit productivity goals
  • Participating in regional leadership team meetings with representatives from Residential and Day Services; reviewing inter-departmental regional health, problem-solving issues, and planning and executing regional events
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology
  • Two years' experience working directly with a clinical population OR related experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician
  • Valid CO State Issued Driver's license
  • Support, Inc. requires all individuals in consideration for employment to complete a background screening prior to an offer of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Colorado
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, consumers, guardians, family members, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical and complex problems and critically reason through a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to prioritize work needs to effectively manage time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is varied between office and community locations including host homes and hospitals. This position requires a personal vehicle for transportation in order to effectively monitor and coordinate care.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to drive. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

SCHEDULE

After completing a new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday - Thursday
