Job Title: (Registered) Behavior Technician Job Summary: The behavior technician plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals who require behavior intervention services. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), they implement behavior intervention plans designed to improve the lives of clients with behavioral challenges. This role involves direct, one-on-one interaction with clients, focusing on increasing desired behaviors and reducing problematic behaviors through structured interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implementation of Behavior Plans: Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA to address specific behavioral goals of clients.

  2. Data Collection and Analysis: Accurately record data on client behavior during sessions to track progress and outcomes of interventions.

  3. Behavioral Support: Provide direct support to clients during scheduled sessions, utilizing positive reinforcement and other approved behavior modification techniques.

  4. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in the implementation of behavior plans and discuss client progress.

  5. Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized documentation of client progress, behavior incidents, and any changes in behavior plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certifications:

CPR/BLS Certification: Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
