Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent with AVMA-accredited training.
Postdoctoral training in laboratory animal medicine or 1–3 years’ related experience.
Knowledge of federal laws governing animal research and eligibility for Federal accreditation.
Active veterinary license in at least one state and eligibility for Michigan licensure.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive veterinary care for laboratory animals in research and teaching settings.
Assist with disease surveillance, prevention programs, and regulatory compliance.
Provide training, mentorship, and program oversight across multiple sites.
Collaborate with investigators, staff, and leadership to ensure welfare and timely issue resolution.
