Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a Research Nurse Coordinator to oversee the implementation and conduct of human subject research projects. You will apply your nursing knowledge to perform care plan development, condition evaluations, telephone triage, documentation and more across disease specialties, including blood draws, EKGs and informed consent.

This role requires RN licensure, BLS, and at least four years of clinical experience with two years in research; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Four years of clinical experience.
• Two years of research experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation and conduct of human subject research projects.
• Perform care plan development, condition evaluations, and telephone triage.
• Conduct blood draws, EKGs, informed consent, patient screening and closeout visits.
• Assist with regulatory activities and data entry using electronic systems.
• Coordinate with investigators, research personnel, and central research offices.
• Assess subjects, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal results.
