Job summary

Astera Cancer Care is seeking a Manager of Research Operations to oversee the accurate execution of clinical trial procedures and data collection. The role ensures health, safety, and welfare of participants under supervision of the Director of Clinical Research and Principal Investigators.

Responsibilities include supervising coordinators, developing SOPs, managing site visits, and ensuring regulatory compliance across sites. Travel to multiple offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, life sciences or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of clinical research experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical research coordinators, ensuring workload distribution and performance.
• Collaborate to design and refine workflows and SOPs for trial operations.
• Manage site qualification, initiation, and close-out visits with sponsors.
• Review study protocols and consent documents for understanding and compliance.
• Oversee subject screening based on medical history and protocol criteria.
• Ensure visits comply with protocol requirements and testing.
• Oversee IP inventory, accountability, and reconciliation across sites.
• Ensure accurate data collection and entry into sponsor systems.
