Job summary

Velocity Clinical Research, Inc. is seeking a Principal Investigator to lead the medical oversight and execution of assigned clinical studies. You will work closely with sponsors, study directors, and cross-functional teams to ensure protocol conformance, patient safety, and data integrity.

The role requires an MD or DO with an active license, GCP training, and board certification or eligibility. Travel up to 10% may be required, with enterprise-wide standards and regulatory compliance guiding

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active medical license
• GCP training or certification required
• Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty
• Medical licensure valid in the state of research

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and review of protocols per investigational plan and GCP
• Assess feasibility and provide medical input for sponsor inquiries
• Ensure safety and well-being of participants at the trial site
• Maintain data credibility, integrity, and complete documentation
• Protect rights, confidentiality, and safety of participants
• Guide clinical operations staff and sponsor representatives as needed
• Obtain and review participants medical history
• Perform exams and study procedures per protocol
• Review clinical data and diagnostic results, including labs and ECGs
• Report SAEs promptly to sponsors and IRB as required
• Oversee Investigational Product administration
• Ensure protocol adherence and regulatory compliance
• Maintain regulatory documentation and source data
• Stay compliant with ICH GCP and other requirements
• Keep study materials approved by IRB and aligned with protocol
• Communicate changes to IRB and monitoring bodies
