Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across multiple research sites.

• Ensure 100% net promoter score across sponsors, participants, vendors, and team.
• Manage vendor relationships; negotiate contracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate accounts receivable/payable follow-up and resolve vendor account issues.
• Author, maintain, and version-control SOPs covering platform workflows and study operations.
• Onboard new performer sites with accurate, current documentation and training materials.
• Prepare status presentations and progress reporting for internal and external program reviews.

Alden Scientific is an AI-powered platform for integrating and comparing human biological and physiological data — transforming fragmented multi-omic datasets into a more consistent, interpretable foundation for research and decision-making. The Role

This is part program manager and part product manager — we're standing up our first scaled multi-site research studies and looking for an exceptional team leader to own all the operations and logistics with an eye for scaling 10,000X. Beyond running this study well, we're looking for someone fundamentally learning-focused: someone who treats this as a chance to learn what works, document it, and build the playbook that lets this model scale to many more sites. The job is to learn and scale, not just get the job done.

The ideal candidate is a detail-driven operator who can keep a complex, multi-site study running on time, on budget, and in compliance — someone who thrives on bringing order to complexity, is smart enough to simplify down to the basics, and is motivated by process and systems, not just task completion.

What You'll Do

Study & Site Operations

• Manage day-to-day operations across multiple research sites, coordinating biospecimen collection site visits, meetings, inventory, and shipments.
• Maintain structured status reporting on milestone progress across sites.
• Ensure 100% net promoter score across everyone who interacts with Alden Scientific, from study sponsors and study participants to vendors and internal team members.
• Manage relationships with supply vendors, couriers, and service providers; negotiate and administer contracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate accounts receivable/payable follow-up and resolve vendor account issues.

SOP & Process Documentation

• Author, maintain, and version-control SOPs covering platform workflows and study operations.
• Ensure new performer sites are onboarded with accurate, current documentation and training materials.
• Prepare status presentations and progress reporting for internal and external program reviews.

What You Bring

Required:

• Experience in clinical research operations, life sciences, or multi-site clinical trials.
• Comfortable owning complex, multi-site logistics with minimal supervision.
• Spreadsheet fluency (formula-driven workbooks) and comfort with structured document production and version control.
• Experience with, or strong aptitude for, procurement and vendor management.
• Clear, structured written communication for SOPs, status reports, and stakeholder-facing materials.

Preferred:

• Prior exposure to translating operational requirements into product or platform specifications.
• Interest in growing into a product management track; product sense is a plus.
