UTHealth Houston’s McGovern Medical School invites applications for a full-time, clinical track faculty position in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Professor. We seek a collaborative Anatomic Pathologist to join a growing subspecialized service supporting clinical and academic missions.

The role includes developing an externally funded, independent research program and opportunities for translational research, with affiliated Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical

Qualifications

• MD or DO required with Texas licensure eligibility.
• Board-certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP.
• Subspecialty fellowship training in Neuropathology, Cytopathology, Breast/Gyn Pathology, Molecular, Cardiovascular, Pediatrics, General Surgical Pathology, or GI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an environment in patient care units supporting excellence in clinical practice and outcomes.
• Establish and lead an externally funded research program.
• Secure external grant funding and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Train residents, fellows, medical students, and develop research programs.
• Collaborate with UTHealth and hospital administration to set department goals.
• Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops, and publications.
• Participate in autopsy services in the future.
