Job summary

Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) is seeking a Training Specialist III to independently provide comprehensive education and training to staff across CMHHIP curricula. The role requires adapting training to diverse audiences and delivering expert, just-in-time clinical support on units.

You will evaluate curriculum effectiveness, ensure alignment with hospital standards, and manage all training preparation, delivery, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• A combination of related education and/or relevant experience equal to six (6) years.
• One or more years of experience training staff.
• Twenty hours or more of documented Training Facilitation and/or Instructional Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and delivers training programs for CMHHIP staff, serving as a primary instructor for core curricula.
• Applies adult learning theory and instructional design to tailor training to diverse audiences.
• Evaluates student competency through advanced assessment methods and reports findings to leadership.
• Ensures training aligns with Active Treatment Program Manual and hospital policies.
• May travel to other state offices in a state vehicle for training purposes.
• Manages classroom preparation, equipment, infection control, and safe training environments.
