Job summary

AdventHealth Maitland is seeking a Medical Assistant to train staff, assist supervisors with evaluations, and maintain education requirements while ensuring OSHA compliance. You will provide comprehensive patient care during office visits, including intake, tests, labs, and care-gap closure, and document results in the designated system.

Job Description

• Trains and mentors new employees and those needing additional training, serving as an educational resource.
• Provides information to supervisors for employee performance evaluations.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency as required.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and other office policies.
• Follows safety processes and policies to provide appropriate patient care.
• Provides comprehensive patient care during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment, initiates testing, and documents results in the designated system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
