Job summary

Family & Children's Center is seeking a Clinical Trainee to provide psychotherapy and substance abuse counseling under supervision in La Crosse, WI. The role includes maintaining a 70% psychotherapy caseload, conducting assessments, and documenting in the EHR while upholding HIPAA standards.

The trainee will participate in trainings, outreach, and community presentations, with opportunities to grow toward licensure and professional certification within the agency framework.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to market services and demonstrate the agency’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy services and/or substance abuse counseling within scope of expertise.
• Maintain full caseload of at least 70% time for psychotherapy.
• Adhere to HIPAA and agency policies on confidentiality and privacy.
• Provide assessments and treatment plans with timely reviews.
• Maintain client files in the EHR with complete documentation.
• Offer community presentations or outreach as required.
• Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and trainings.
