Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with clinical coursework in foundations of behavioral health and mental health services; field practicum preferred.
• At least one year of verified post-master’s experience providing mental health treatment.
• Must pass federal and state background checks and pre-employment checks, including references and driving records.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work with computers and department software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates behavioral and emotional clients’ issues.
• Provides direct client supervision to those with chronic or acute mental disorders who require active treatment.
• Interacts meaningfully with clients.
• Provides individual, family, and group counseling under supervision according to individualized treatment plans.
• Conducts psycho-educational assessments under supervision.
• Makes observations and documents client treatment interventions, behavior, and progress.
• Interprets treatment objectives for other staff and assists with integrated services.
• Participates in treatment team conferences and aftercare planning for assigned clients.
• Develops and updates clients’ individualized treatment plans.
