Job summary

Empowering-to-Elevat is seeking a part-time clinical support specialist to provide direct care and related technical and clinical activities aligned with our mission. The role involves managing assigned clients, documenting in the EHR, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in Social Work or Counseling, independent licensure preferred, and a valid Ohio driver's license with ability to travel; up to 20 hours per week and a focus on compassionate

Qualifications

  • Two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and insurability for vehicle insurance required.
  • Willingness to travel for client-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical management of assigned clients.
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and updates to treatment plans.
  • Maintain contact with referring/outpatient therapists during client stay.
  • Meet clients according to treatment plans and discuss issues related to symptoms.
  • Lead group meetings, meals and milieu activities.
  • Document thoroughly in the EHR with timely charting.

Job description

Summary

This part-time role is up to 20 hours per week, and designed to provide direct care and other related technical and clinical support activities that align with Empowering to Elevate Mission, Vision & Values.

Reports To

Clinical Director or Clinical Supervisor

Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the clinical management of his/her assigned clients.
  • Assists in identification of treatment/contract goals, completing the initial psychosocial assessment.
  • Responsible for maintaining contact with the assigned client's referring/outpatient therapist during the course of the clients stay and the family when/if appropriate.
  • Completes and updates treatment plan for assigned clients.
  • Meets with clients frequencies according to their treatment plans, to help explore identified issues and behaviors in relationship to current symptoms.
  • Leads and participates in group meetings, meals and other activities in the milieu.
  • Provides comprehensive understanding of current behaviors and relational dynamics while using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Attends the weekly team meetings and share observations, comments and important information about clients with the treatment team and provides input into the development of the weekly schedules for all of his/her assigned clients.
  • Responsible for proper charting and ensuring that all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists in meal/snack supervision as assigned and attends special occasion activities for the clients.
  • Assists with discharge planning, including a written discharge summary and obtaining referral sources and necessary support systems once the client is discharged.
  • Depending on credentials and/or licensure, may serve as a preceptor and/or clinical supervisor to graduate students while they are completing an internship at Empowering to Elevate.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications related to Empowering to Elevate Mission and population.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Word and Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling; independent licensure preferred; two years previous experience preferred.

Valid Ohio Drivers License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing Empowering to Elevate with vehicle insurance. Willingness to travel for various reasons, mainly during the day but occasionally overnight.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and organization/time management skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently.

Must be able to remain alert to problems, needs or emergencies that might arise on any shift, maintaining a safe environment for the clients.

Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all levels or personnel, internal and external to the company.
