Job summary

Advantage Health in Detroit, MI seeks a Clinical Therapist to provide therapy and intervention services for patients with behavioral health diagnoses, in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Team and psychiatrist.

The role includes individual/group therapy, crisis intervention, and coordinating with community resources. Requirements include a Master’s in a relevant field and experience in behavioral health; Michigan license and HIPAA training preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, human services, drug and alcohol, counseling, psychology required.
• Two years of related experience with a behavioral health population preferred.
• State of Michigan License and HIPAA training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual and/or group therapy and social casework for patients and their families.
• Provides short term crisis intervention therapy.
• Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary Team to provide comprehensive treatment.
• Maintains accurate clinical and statistical records in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Provides field instruction for graduate-level social work students.
• Participates in Agency community outreach events.
• Represents the agency in various meetings.
• Participates in mobilizing community resources, maintains cooperative working relationships with Community Mental Health Agencies, Crisis Centers, Department of Human Services, and the Probate Courts.
