Job summary

Generations Family Health Center in Willimantic, CT is seeking a Clinical Therapist (LCSW/LMFT/LPC/LMSW/LMFTA/LPCA) for full-time or part-time hours in the Behavioral Health Department.

You will conduct clinical evaluations and provide treatment for patients, delivering individual, group, family and couples therapy, while coordinating with medical providers to ensure integrated care. The role emphasizes community-centered services and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related human service field.
• Licensed candidates preferred (LCSW/LMFT/LPC/LMSW/LMFTA/LPCA).
• Bilingual candidates preferred (Spanish/English).
• Experience with individuals, couples and families.
• Experience with substance use treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts clinical evaluations and assessments, diagnose and provide treatment.
• Provides therapy for individuals, couples, groups and families across the lifespan.
• Coordinates care with medical providers and other behavioral health clinicians.
• Documents therapies and maintains case records per protocols.
• Participates in supervision, committees, and continuing education.

About Generations Family Health Center: Generations Family Health Center is a regional community health center serving a 37-town rural region in eastern Connecticut, with locations in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich, and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School-Based Health Centers.

Responsibilities: Under the direction and supervision of the BH Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Therapist will conduct clinical evaluations and assessments, diagnose and provide treatment for patients.

Job Duties

• Conducts individual, group, family and\/or couples therapy sessions for patients across the lifespan in accordance with accepted American Psychiatric Association guidelines for treatment techniques and therapies.
• Develops and coordinates a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting with behavioral health needs.
• Provides multi-disciplinary approach to treatment plan, coordinating with medical providers and\/ or other behavioral health clinicians.
• Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment program accordingly.
• Coordinates care of patient with referring physician or agencies.
• Documents all therapies, according to established protocols.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Participates in professional development and maintains required continuing education hours for licensing.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and documents case records on all contacts regarding patient.

Based on a full-time schedule (to be prorated for part-time):

Salary Scale

LCSW, LPC, LMFT: $70,000 - $85,000 (based on applicable experience)

LMSW, LPCA, LMFTA: $60,000 - $70,000 (based on applicable experience)

Bilingual Stipend for Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency (upon passing proficiency assessment)

Qualifications

Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work or related human service field, and experience working with individuals, couples and families. Licensed candidates preferred (LCSW/LMFT/LPC/LMSW/LMFTA/LPCA). Innovative self-starter and strong organizational skills desired. Experience with Substance Use Treatment is preferred but not a requirement. Experience with patients across the lifespan, including under 18, preferred. Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) preferred based on patient population.
