Job summary

Indian Rivers Behavioral Health in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Clinician II – Therapist to provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and holistic treatment planning within our Crisis Center.

The role requires a Master's degree in behavioral sciences, a license-eligible credential, and at least 2 years in a community mental health setting. Strong communication and cultural competency are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral sciences required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a community mental health setting preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Current Alabama driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure duties are implemented per Department of Mental Health Standards and IRBH policies.
• Create person-centered treatment plans with observable, measurable goals.
• Provide interventions defined in treatment plans to guide clients.
• Link clients to resources if interventions are beyond scope.
• Document clinical data in AVATAR and ASAIS for billed clients.
• Attend treatment team meetings and participate actively.
• Maintain client safety and uphold rights; comply with HIPAA.
