Clinical Therapist I/II - Adult FSP (20613481)

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is a public agency serving the diverse communities of Pomona, Claremont, and La Verne.

Established in 1960, Tri-City Mental Health Authority (TCMHA) is a comprehensive mental health service provider dedicated to helping families and individuals of all ages reach their full potential. Its services include psychotherapy, clinical case management, medication support, peer support, psychoeducation, linkage and referral, vocational training, social activities, and community outreach.

Tri-City is seeking a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The role involves working with a community of moderate to severe behavioral health clients, reporting to a Clinical Supervisor.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing individual, group, and family interventions, including counseling, therapy, case management, and referrals.
  2. Assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients with mental health disorders within scope of authority; creating treatment plans.
  3. Conducting counseling and therapy sessions using various techniques; performing case management both in-office and in the field.
  4. Performing intake evaluations, documenting processes, and preparing case histories.
  5. Helping clients and families understand diagnoses, causes, effects, prognosis, and treatment options.
  6. Addressing barriers to treatment, leveraging client strengths, and engaging clients effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Equivalent to a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
  3. Clinical Therapist I: 1 year of professional counseling/therapy experience in a behavioral health setting.
  4. Clinical Therapist II: 2 years of experience.
  5. Licensure/Registration:
  6. Clinical Therapist I: Valid registration as an ACSW, AMFT, or APCC.
  7. Clinical Therapist II: Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
  8. Valid California Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, and vehicle insurance.

Preferred candidates are bilingual in Spanish, experienced with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR), and capable of completing clinical documentation timely.
